                         Gourmet Hot Dogs with Spicy Aioli


Ingredients:

  • 1 whole wheat hot dog bun
  • 1 beef hot dog
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 slices of avocado
  • 2 tablespoons diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons shredded lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon diced red onion

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • grill
  • mixing bowl
  • spatula
  • knife

Instructions:

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Grill the beef hot dog for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and grill marks appear.
  • While the hot dog is grilling, prepare the spicy aioli by mixing mayonnaise, sriracha, and lemon juice in a small bowl until well combined.
  • To assemble, place the grilled hot dog inside the whole wheat bun.
  • Spread a layer of the spicy aioli on top of the hot dog.
  • Top with sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and diced red onion as desired.
