Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of chicken pieces. (legs or thighs)
  • 200g of plain yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons of tandoori masala.
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste.
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic paste.
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin.
  • 1 teaspoon of ground coriander.
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika.
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish.

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Grill.
  • Mixing Bowl.
  • Marinating Container.
  • Cooking Thermometer.

Method of making:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

  • Whisk together until well blended to form a marinade.

  • Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and ensure they are thoroughly coated.

  • Cover and refrigerate the marinated chicken for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight for deeper flavor.

  • Preheat the grill on medium-high heat.

  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess marinade.

  • Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).

  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.

  • Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
