Tandoori Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of chicken pieces. (legs or thighs)
- 200g of plain yogurt.
- 2 tablespoons of tandoori masala.
- 1 tablespoon of ginger paste.
- 1 tablespoon of garlic paste.
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
- 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin.
- 1 teaspoon of ground coriander.
- 1 teaspoon of paprika.
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
- Fresh cilantro for garnish.
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Grill.
- Mixing Bowl.
- Marinating Container.
- Cooking Thermometer.
Method of making:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Whisk together until well blended to form a marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and ensure they are thoroughly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate the marinated chicken for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight for deeper flavor.
- Preheat the grill on medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess marinade.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
